Under the patronage of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, under the chairmanship of the President of the University of Kerbala, Professor Dr. Bassim Khalil Nile Al-Saidi, and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Engineering, Assistant Professor Dr. Haider Nadhim Aziz Al-Muhanna, and the Chairman of the Preparatory Committee for the Conference, Professor Dr. Laith Shaker Rashid Al-Qarawi, and in the presence of the Advisor of the Higher and Scientific Research Professor Dr. Alaa Abdel Hassan. The Seventh International Conference on Engineering Sciences ICES2023 was held at the College of Engineering, in cooperation with Al-Hussein University College, and the Australian Swinburne University, with the participation of Iraqi and overseas professors and researchers.
The number of research papers received was 115, the number of accepted papers was 95, and the number of rejected papers was 20. The number of participating papers from the University of Kerbala was 48, the number of participating papers from Iraqi universities was 55, and the number of international papers was 12. In addition to international participation from America, Malaysia and Iran
The Dean of the College, Dr. Haider Al-Muhanna, also explained, “The main goal of the conference is to strengthen the ties between international and Iraqi universities on the one hand and Iraqi universities on the other hand, and to gather researchers under one roof and highlight what is new and distinguished in engineering sciences to keep pace with the latest technologies and increase their scientific and intellectual knowledge.”
